Starts a new session or resumes the one the request identifies.

Parameters:

• $options (mixed), default [], optional

Returns: bool

Availability

• Compiled (AOT): supported through an injected elephc-PHP prelude.
• eval() (magician interpreter): not available inside eval’d code.
