Compiles a script into the opcode cache without executing it.

Parameters:

  • $filename (mixed)

Returns: bool

Availability

  • Compiled (AOT): supported through an injected elephc-PHP prelude.
  • eval() (magician interpreter): supported through native OPcache prelude declarations or dedicated interpreter handlers; see OPcache.
