Sets the character set used by the connection.

Parameters:

• $mysql (mixed)
• $charset (string)

Returns: bool

Availability

• Compiled (AOT): supported through an injected elephc-PHP prelude.
• eval() (magician interpreter): not available inside eval’d code.
